This Privacy Policy explains how The Waymaker Project, operated by Light and Guide Chiropractic Pty Ltd (ABN 18 644 651 776) ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit waymakerproject.com.au or winstonwees.com, or interact with our content, including our free parent guide, our books, our colouring packs, our emails, and any enquiry you send us.
We respect your privacy and are committed to handling your information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What information we collect
We collect personal information that you give us voluntarily. Depending on which form you use, this may include:
Your name and email address. Collected when you request our free parent guide, when you send us an enquiry from our What's Next page, or when you request the Monster Colouring Pack.
What you are looking for. On our What's Next page, we ask you to indicate whether you want more information, a referral in your area, or something else, and you may add a message telling us your question or your location.
Your thoughts about our books. On our colouring pack page, we invite you to tell us what your family thought of Winston Wees on Monsters. This is optional. You can request the colouring pack without answering.
Your consent to share your comments. On the same page, there is a tick box, unticked by default, asking whether you are happy for us to share your comments publicly using your first name only. We explain how this works below.
Basic website usage data. Such as browser type and which pages were visited, used only to improve the site.
Information about children
Our books, guides and colouring packs are made for children, but our forms are written for the adults who care for them. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
If you tell us about your child, for example that they laughed at a particular monster or that the story helped at bedtime, we treat that as your personal information and handle it under this policy. Please do not include your child's full name, date of birth, school, or any health information in a form. If you send us something like that, we will remove it.
How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
Send you the free parent guide, colouring pack, or other resource you asked for
Send a small number of follow up emails with related content. This is usually two or three emails over a week or so, and you can unsubscribe from any of them
Reply to enquiries you send us
Ask you, once, whether you would consider leaving a review of a book you have bought. You are under no obligation, and we will not ask twice
Share your comments about our books publicly, but only if you have ticked the consent box, and only in the way described below
Improve our content and the experience of using our website
We will not send you marketing emails about unrelated products or services, and we will not add you to a mailing list you did not ask to join.
If you consent to us sharing your comments
If you tick the consent box on our colouring pack page, you are agreeing that we may publish what you wrote about our book on our websites, in our emails, or on our social media accounts.
If we do, we will use your first name only. We will not publish your surname, your email address, your location, or your child's name.
You can withdraw this consent at any time by replying to any of our emails or writing to the address at the bottom of this page. We will stop using your comments from that point on. Where something has already been printed or posted elsewhere, we will remove it from anywhere we control, though we cannot always recover material that others have already shared.
How we store and protect your information
Your information is stored in our customer relationship management platform, HighLevel, which uses industry standard encryption and security practices. Our websites are served through Cloudflare.
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Access to your information is limited to Andrew and the small number of people who help us run the websites and email systems.
Storage outside Australia
HighLevel and Cloudflare are based in the United States, and your personal information may be stored or processed there, or in other countries where those providers operate.
By giving us your information, you agree to it being handled this way. We take reasonable steps to make sure our providers protect your information to a standard consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, but you should be aware that overseas providers may be subject to laws different from Australia's.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you remain subscribed, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Sharing your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We may share it only:
With trusted service providers who help us operate our websites and email service, under confidentiality obligations
Where you have asked us to refer you to a practitioner or service, and only with your agreement at the time
Publicly, in the limited form described above, if you have given consent
Where required by law
Links to other websites
Our pages link to places we do not control, including Amazon, Spotify, and the online booking system used by Ascension Chiropractic. Once you follow one of those links, that organisation's own privacy policy applies, not ours. We would encourage you to read them.
Your rights
You have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct anything that is wrong
Withdraw consent to us sharing your comments publicly
Unsubscribe from our emails at any time, using the link at the bottom of every email
Ask us to delete your personal information from our records
To do any of these, reply to one of our emails or contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
This website uses cookies necessary for the site and its forms to work properly. We do not use cookies to advertise to you or to track you across other websites.
If this changes in future, for example if we begin using analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy and the date at the top of this page before doing so.
Making a complaint
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please tell us first. Write to [email protected] with the details and we will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and give you a written response within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with how we have dealt with it, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. If we make a change that materially affects how we use information we already hold about you, we will tell you by email.
